    Teach a Workshop

    Picture
If you're interested in teaching a workshop at Wild Willow Farm in 2012 please fill out the form below. We are currently seeking to fill our schedule out thru June, but if you have a workshop in mind for the second half of the year don't hesitate to include that as well.

We're interested in all types of workshops: from seasonal work with fruit trees and bees, to cooking and preserving vegetables, to building bat boxes and chicken tractors, to yoga and dance. Whether it's a 1, 3 or 6 hour workshop, or a larger event, we're very open to any creative ideas for making learning happen at WWF.

Upon receiving your application we will reply with more details concerning the costs and fees for the workshop, the resources that you'll have available at your disposal from us, as well as a request for more detailed information about the workshop you wish to teach.

The most common day for workshops is Saturday usually running from 1-3 hours for a "half-day" workshop, up to 6 hours for a full day workshop with a break in between. We usually charge $25 dollars for a half day workshop and $50 for a full day with Friends of the Farm receiving a 20% discount. Occasionally for shorter or more informal workshops we have charged based on a sliding scale. Additional charges may be added for materials that are used or that participants take home, such as a jar of pickles.

We have open volunteer days every Saturday from 1-4p and community potlucks every third Saturday of the month. Sometimes these workshops have overlapped with these events and we work to integrate them into our schedules.

Other days of the week are certainly an option, but experience has told us that Saturdays work well. Check out our past workshops to see what others have taught.

Frequently Wild Willow Farm interns are interested in taking workshops. We offer them free admission with the assumption that they will help the instructor(s) with any set up and assistance they need.

If you know detail, beyond the topic(s) and potential date(s) of the workshop(s) you wish to teach, you may upload either a document or pdf here.
