Donate to help us Grow the Farm!

Wild Willow Farm is a place for San Diegans of all ages to learn how to garden and farm, connect with food and farmers, and meet other local-food enthusiasts.We need your help to make it all happen, and starting now your donation of $30 or more ($20 for students) will make you a card-carrying Friend of the Farm! With your membership you’ll receive:

  • First notice and priority sign-up for farming/gardening workshops & classes.
  • Special member prices and recognition at special Friend of the Farm events.
  • An awesome Friend of the Farm Sticker to put on your water bottle, window, notebook, computer or bike!
  • Opportunities to till soil, plant seeds, harvest crops, and prepare food on a beautiful farm adjacent to a wildlife refuge.
  • Knowledge that you are supporting the effort to teach about and grow delicious and healthy food for all San Diegans!

$20-50 Hourly wages for our farmers & educators (plus gas)
$50-100 Administrative costs and overhead (utility bills & etc)
$150 Two sturdy wheelbarrows*
$400 Two garden carts
$500 Six folding tables + 20 folding or stacking chairs*
$500 Bathroom fixtures, secure door*
$500 Vegetable washing station (commercial sinks, stainless-steel counters)
$1,000 Irrigation supplies
$3,000 Tools* (see detail below)
$3,000 Outdoor woodfired pizza oven
$3,500 Used farm truck* (in good repair)
$12,000 Reverse osmosis station*
$25,000 Farmer (part-time)

*Aside from money, we also accept physical, material donations of any these items.

Tools needed for farming,
volunteers and classes:

10 long-handled spades
10 long-handled steel rakes
5 D-handled digging forks
5 long-handled, flat-blade shovels
10 long-handled hoes
5 long-handled compost/manure forks
10 short-handled manual weed whackers (sickles and/or machetes)
4 long-handled sickles/ 1 scythe
5 leaf rakes (both thin and broad)
25 hand trowels
25 hand cultivators
50 pairs of gloves
10 hand pruners
3 long-handled pruners



Our tools policy: on tools we buy, purchasing premium-quality tools that will have a working life of many years. Any tool donated -- no matter the quality or quantity -- will be appreciated and used.
